GRASP Virginia Last Dollar Scholarships

Introduction
Students enrolled at any high school served by GRASP who have had a meeting with their GRASP advisor may apply for Last Dollar Scholarships. These awards —made possible by the generosity of our corporate and individual donors—are intended to cover costs not fully met by a student’s financial aid package, such as books, computers, and other essential expenses, and help students attend the college or technical program to which they have been accepted.

Eligibility
To qualify to apply, students must meet all of the following:
- Met with their high school GRASP advisor during their senior year
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0
- Be scheduled to graduate from high school in spring of 2026
- Demonstrate remaining financial need (a college financial aid award letter will be requested before an award is issued)
- Plan to attend a post-secondary institution in Virginia (public or private)
- Have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Virginia Alternative State Aid (VASA) application
Application requirements and process
- We accept applications via Google Form.
- You may submit the application before your FAFSA Submission Summary (Student Submission Summary) is available; however, the summary must be provided once it is ready for your application to be reviewed.
Required items:
1. Completed GRASP scholarship application including a personal statement.
2. A copy of the FAFSA Submission Summary OR a statement confirming you completed the VASA. (The FAFSA Submission Summary can be downloaded from fafsa.gov; the VASA is completed at vasaapp.org.)
3. A copy of the financial aid award letter or email from the college you plan to attend, if it is available.
