Overview
Sandra and Richard Wood established the Bruce William Wood Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor the memory of their son, Bruce. The fund awards scholarships to graduating seniors of Mt. Pleasant High School who intend to pursue careers in television production or closely related fields.
About Bruce William Wood
Bruce was 27 years old when he and his fiancée lost their lives in an automobile accident. At the time of his death he worked as a television producer with Ross Roy Productions in Novi, MI.
Eligibility
- Must be a graduating senior from Mt. Pleasant High School.
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
- Plan to attend an accredited college or university.
- Intend to pursue a career in television production or a related area such as radio, photography, or the arts.
Selection Preference
Financial need may be used as a factor when choosing among eligible candidates. Applicants who wish to be considered for this preference should describe their financial circumstances in their written essay.
