Elizabeth Nash Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Elizabeth Nash Foundation
Each spring, the Elizabeth & Patrick Nash Foundation awards academic scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 to support individuals with cystic fibrosis who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies.
Eligibility
- U.S. citizens diagnosed with cystic fibrosis who are current students or incoming students at an accredited college or university located in the United States (undergraduate or graduate level).
Required Application Materials
- Completed application form
- One-page personal statement describing your educational and career goals
- A teacher’s letter of recommendation
- Documentation confirming a cystic fibrosis diagnosis
- Official academic transcript
- An itemized statement from the educational institution showing tuition and fee charges
Additional recipient obligation
- Scholarship awardees must agree, if requested by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, to help by preparing up to 10 donor thank-you notes or fundraising letters.
How recipients are chosen
- Applications are evaluated on academic performance, personal character, demonstrated leadership, involvement in CF-related activities and broader community service, and demonstrated financial need.
Award information
- Scholarship funds are issued directly to the recipient’s college or university to be applied toward tuition and fees.
- Awards cover one academic year. Recipients may reapply for funding in subsequent years.
Deadlines and notification
- 2026–2027 application deadline: April 1, 2026. Because of the high volume of submissions, late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Award decisions will be communicated by email by June 1, 2026.
