Scholarship Application — Graduating High School Seniors (Class of 2026)
Overview
This scholarship opportunity is available to graduating high school seniors (Class of 2026) who plan to continue their education at an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, vocational or technical school). Applicants must meet the eligibility rules and follow the application instructions below.
Eligibility
- Must be a graduating member of the Class of 2026.
- Must have been accepted as a candidate to a post-secondary school (college, university, vocational or technical).
- Must be an active member in good standing of a USBC Youth certified league in the State of New York for the current season.
- Must submit the scholarship application provided by the scholarship committee, completed in full, and file it with the chairperson of the scholarship committee by APRIL 1st of the current year.
Scholarship Awards
- For the 2025–26 season, the New York State USBC Association will award up to seven scholarships to high school seniors.
- If a recipient declines an award, becomes ineligible, or an award is otherwise voided, the scholarship committee reserves the right to award the scholarship to another qualified applicant.

Application Procedure and Required Materials
1. Complete the online application in full. Incomplete applications risk disqualification. Review the Final Steps before submitting and then click "Submit."
2. Obtain a letter of recommendation written by a teacher, guidance counselor, or coach (family members may not provide this).
3. After finishing the online portion, download and print the two required forms:
- "School Official/Counselor's Evaluation & Data Sheet" — Give this to a school official or counselor. They must complete it and mail it to the scholarship committee along with your official school transcript and the letter of recommendation.
- "Youth Official Evaluation Sheet" — Give this to your youth program coordinator. They must complete it and mail it to the scholarship committee together with your league standing sheet.
4. Ensure all materials are mailed by the appropriate parties and that the primary application was filed with the chairperson of the scholarship committee by APRIL 1st.

- Follow all instructions carefully and confirm your school official and youth program coordinator understand they must send their completed forms and supporting documents to the scholarship committee.
