Compeer Financial High School Senior Scholarships

Introduction
Compeer Financial supports the long-term success of agriculture and rural communities. Through its High School Senior Scholarship Program, Compeer awards 105 scholarships each year (35 recipients per state it serves). Each scholarship is valued at $2,000 and is awarded based on academic performance, involvement in agricultural or community youth organizations, and an essay submission.
Metro Scholarships
Three of the awards are earmarked for students from metropolitan areas within Compeer’s service region: Cook County, IL; Hennepin and Ramsey counties, MN; and Milwaukee County, WI.
Priority and Restrictions
Applicants who are dependents of Compeer Financial clients will receive special consideration. However, dependents of Compeer Financial team members or Board members are ineligible to apply.
Who May Apply
To qualify, applicants must:
- Live within Compeer Financial’s 144-county service area
- Be a high school senior who will graduate in the current academic year
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Be pursuing an agricultural major, show interest in an agriculture-related field, or come from an agricultural or rural background
How to Apply
Complete the online application in full, including the required essay. You must upload a digital copy of a current high school transcript that shows the cumulative GPA for all completed semesters.
Application Window and Notifications
Applications are accepted from December 15 through February 15. The online application form will only be accessible on this webpage during that period. Applicants will be informed of their selection status six weeks after the February 15 deadline. This is a competitive award program; meeting eligibility does not guarantee a scholarship.
Award Payment
Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the recipient’s college or university and applied toward the next academic year.
