Klenk Law Community Leadership Scholarship Intro At Klenk Law we believe that communities thrive when residents step up to lead, educate, and serve. After years of working alongside civic-minded individuals and observing how informed, engaged citizens strengthen their neighborhoods, we created the Klenk Law Community Leadership Scholarship to support a student who shares that commitment to public-minded service and educational achievement. Scholarship overview - Total funds available: $3,000.00. - In recent years, due to the volume of outstanding applicants, the award has been split into ten individual scholarships of $300.00 each. - “Community” may be interpreted broadly — it can mean your hometown, a school, club, social group, or any other circle where you have contributed to positive change. Who may apply (Eligibility) - Open to students enrolled in an accredited U.S. undergraduate, graduate, or professional program. This includes community college students, high school seniors accepted to or enrolled in an accredited program, and applicants with a GED. - Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of community leadership, as explained in their essay. - Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required; candidates must be in good academic standing. Essay prompt (maximum 1,000 words) Please address the following in a single essay of 1,000 words or fewer: 1) Describe the event or circumstance that galvanized your commitment to community leadership. 2) Explain what actions you have taken since that moment to improve or strengthen the community you serve. 3) Describe how your ongoing education will help you continue to lead and contribute to your community. Required application materials - Current resume (updated). - Essay (1,000 words max) responding to the questions above. Be sure to put your full name at the top of the essay. - Most recent unofficial transcript. Deadlines and award timing - Submission deadline: March 1, 2026. All application materials must be received by this date. - Award announcement: March 2026. - Scholarship funding: $3,000.00 total, to be distributed according to the selection committee’s decision.
