Students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or vocational programs related to healthcare engineering are invited to complete the application and submit the required supporting documents. Originals of all materials should be mailed to The Robert Mack Scholarship Foundation.
Who is eligible
Any individual actively pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or vocational studies in a healthcare engineering–related area is eligible to apply.
Application materials (please type or print legibly)
- Official grade record(s) from your most recent school showing GPA. For secondary applicants, include grades from ninth grade through the first semester (or first two quarters) of twelfth grade. If you are already in post‑secondary study, provide the most current academic record available.
- A detailed description of your community service. If more space is needed, attach an additional sheet.
- Short essays are required. Applicants must submit brief pieces addressing the prompts titled “What does education mean to me?” and “What are my goals in the field of healthcare engineering?” Essays should be well organized and free of grammatical errors.
- A minimum of three letters of reference. At least one letter must be from a person connected to your school activities (for example: principal, teacher, coach, or counselor). The remaining letters should speak to your character. If you are employed, one reference must be from your immediate supervisor.
Permitted fields of study and choice of institution
Your chosen program must be related to healthcare engineering. Examples include, but are not limited to: mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering; biomedical engineering; plant operations; facility or project management; architecture; and HVAC. Applicants may attend a vocational school, community college, state college/university, or private university—selection of the school is at the student’s discretion.
