How recipients are selected
Selection is based on submitted essays, letters of recommendation, and demonstrated service in each of these three areas: church, school, and community. Applicants must also meet the Overcomer Criteria. Finalists will be required to participate in a mandatory Zoom interview on April 25, 2026.
Overcomer Criteria
Scholarships are intended for “Overcomers” — student leaders who continue to serve others despite facing significant difficulties or obstacles. Applicants must describe these challenges in Essay #2, explaining how they overcame them and continued their service efforts.
