Continuous learning is essential in construction. Whether you're pursuing a degree or certification, adopting new technologies, or sharpening trade and leadership skills, ACCNJ provides multiple resources to support ongoing professional growth.
Eligibility (Scholarships)
- High school seniors preparing to enter college are eligible to apply for the Association’s higher-education scholarships.
- The John F. Donohoe Scholarship is available to students currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
Year‑Round Educational Offerings
ACCNJ and its national affiliate, AGC of America, present a range of training and educational opportunities throughout the year. Sessions are offered both in-person and virtually. For the latest schedules and program details, consult the ACCNJ Calendar of Events and the AGC/A website.
Member Professional Development
ACCNJ members can access a self-paced online curriculum from Brent Darnell International. This program focuses on emotional intelligence and people skills tailored for the AEC community to enhance communication, safety, teamwork, and overall jobsite performance. Brent Darnell has been delivering this type of training to the industry since 2000, helping teams become more engaged and higher performing.
Scholarship Details and Deadlines
The ACCNJ Scholarship Foundation administers two scholarship tracks: the higher-education awards for qualified high school applicants and the John F. Donohoe Scholarship for civil engineering students. The Foundation has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in financial aid, benefiting dozens of students. Applications are currently available; the submission deadline is March 31, 2026. Selected recipients will receive their awards in June.
