American Nuclear Society Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by American Nuclear Society
Overview
ANS values its student members as the society’s future and recognizes outstanding academic achievement, service, and leadership. Since 1979 ANS scholarships have totaled more than $7 million. Awards are made to incoming freshmen, undergraduate, and graduate students at the start of each academic year. Selection considers multiple factors including academic performance, ANS leadership and involvement, references, career objectives, and financial need.
Who may apply
- Undergraduate and graduate scholarships: Open to ANS student members who are enrolled in degree programs related to nuclear science or nuclear engineering at an accredited U.S. university or in U.S. territories.
- International applicants: ANS members who belong to established international student sections are eligible to apply for ANS undergraduate scholarships (sophomore, junior, and senior levels only).
- Incoming freshmen scholarships: Available to high school seniors who have matriculated full-time into college-level STEM programs (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) and who express an interest in careers in nuclear science and technology. Recipients of incoming freshman awards must become ANS members before scholarship funds are released.
