Overview
The Sachs Foundation Graduate Scholarship supports former Undergraduate Sachs Scholarship recipients who are entering or currently enrolled in graduate studies. Eligible applicants must have completed — or expect to complete — their bachelor’s degree within the three years prior to application.
Award
Recipients may receive $10,000 per year. Scholarships can be renewed for up to four years, depending on the length and requirements of the chosen graduate program.
Who may apply
This scholarship is open only to individuals who previously held an Undergraduate Sachs Scholarship and who will have, or have had, their undergraduate degree awarded within the last three years. Applicants must be pursuing a graduate degree.
Application period and submission
Online applications are available January 1 through March 15 each year. The Sachs Foundation must receive your completed application and all required application materials by March 15 of the year in which you apply. One required recommendation letter may arrive later — it must be received no later than March 31.
Required materials
Include the following with your application:
- Official college or university transcript
- One letter of recommendation from a college/university-affiliated individual (professor, counselor, dean, coach, or similar)
- A personal statement plus an additional essay response (total 350–500 words)
- Student Aid Report (SAR)
- Information from your household’s most recent tax return
Important reminders
- Applications or materials submitted after the stated deadlines are not eligible for consideration.
- Incomplete or inaccurate submissions may delay processing or disqualify your application.
